The Career Edits collects only the information you choose to share. That usually means your name, email address, current role and company, the engagement you are interested in, and the context you provide about your career situation.

If you contact The Career Edits directly by email, that correspondence is also stored.

Details submitted through the consultation application are used to review your application, decide whether The Career Edits can support your goal, and prepare for a consultation if one is offered.

Submitting an application does not add you to the newsletter. Newsletter subscription is a separate, explicit action.

Career documents you upload — such as a CV or an optional cover letter — and any LinkedIn profile URL you provide are used solely to understand your background and to deliver the work you engage The Career Edits for.

Please share only what is necessary. Avoid including identity numbers, financial account details or other sensitive personal information in uploaded documents.

If you subscribe, your email address is used to send recruiter notes and career insight. You can unsubscribe at any time, and subscription details are not used to assess consultation applications.

Information is used to review applications, deliver advisory services, communicate with you about your engagement, send the newsletter where you have subscribed, and operate and improve this website.

Your information is not sold.

Running the practice involves standard business tools — for example website hosting, form and file handling, document storage, email, scheduling and video conferencing. These providers process information only so the service can be delivered.

Information is shared with a third party outside this scope only where you ask for it, or where required by law.

Information is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was provided, or for legitimate business and record-keeping reasons. No fixed retention period is claimed here.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information at any time by emailing dana@thecareeredits.com. Requests are actioned as promptly as is reasonably practical.

Applications and client work are treated as confidential. Client details shared publicly — for example in outcome case files — are anonymised, and client documents are never published or shared without permission.

The Career Edits works with professionals globally, and consultations are delivered via Zoom. This means your information may be processed in a country other than the one you live in, using the standard business tools described above.
